Seven people were arrested during a driver license and sobriety checkpoint in Moreno Valley, sheriff’s officials said Saturday.
The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department conducted the checkpoint between 9 p.m. Friday and 3 a.m. Saturday at Heacock Street and Webster Avenue.
Of the 750 drivers screened, one was arrested for inebriated driving, two were arrested for driving with a suspended license and 16 others were cited for driving unlicensed, according to Sgt. Robert Grmusha.
In addition, three people were arrested for felony warrants and one person was arrested for child endangerment, Grmusha said.
Another four drivers were cited for miscellaneous traffic violations.
The checkpoint was funded by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
