Fullerton police Friday released surveillance video of a fatal hit-and-run collision in the hopes of identifying and arresting the driver.
The victim — 33-year-old Thomas Carrillo of Fullerton — was struck the night of June 16 in the 2100 block of East Orangethrope Avenue, said Fullerton police Cpl. Billy Phu.
Carrillo may have been on a skateboard when he was struck in the westbound lanes of Orangethorpe about 10:20 p.m., Phu said.
The suspect vehicle — a dark-colored four-door sedan — was also westbound and the driver did not stop and was seen fleeing south on Acacia Avenue, Phu said. Police believe the car is likely to have front-end damage from the collision.
Anyone who might have helpful information for investigators was asked to call 714-738-6812. Orange County Crime Stoppers accepts anonymous tips at 855-TIP-OCCS.
