A 53-year-old transient was charged Thursday with sexually assaulting a female relative from infancy until she was 4 years old in Anaheim.
Lewis Bradford Wallace is facing nine counts of lewd or lascivious acts with a minor under 14, four counts of oral copulation or sexual penetration with a child 10 or younger and one count of sexual intercourse or sodomy with a child 10 or younger, according to court records.
Wallace’s arraignment in the jail courtroom in Santa Ana was postponed until July 23.
According to the criminal complaint, the alleged sexual abuse began in April 2015 and continued through January 2020.
Wallace is a relative of the girl, who told her mother about the alleged sexual abuse about a year ago, Anaheim police Sgt. Shane Carringer said.
Police had been looking for him ever since, and deputies tracked him down this week in south Orange County, Carringer said.
