A man was shot to death in Lancaster early Friday morning.
Sheriff’s homicide investigators were called at 3:25 a.m. to the 2700 block of West New Grove Street, where they found the unidentified victim with gunshot wounds to his upper body, said Deputy Miguel Meza of the Sheriff’s Department’s Information Bureau.
The man, who was not immediately identified, was pronounced dead at the scene. He was believed between the ages of 20 and 22.
“A vehicle was heard speeding away from the location in an unknown direction,” Meza said. “It is unknown if this incident was gang-related.”
