Traffic investigators Friday asked for public help locating the driver who struck a pedestrian crossing a Diamond Bar street, resulting in his death days later.
The crash occurred about 10:30 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of Lycoming Street and Penarth Avenue, investigators said.
The pedestrian was northbound on Penarth crossing Lycoming when a westbound vehicle on Lycoming struck him and fled, investigators said. The driver turned south on Lemon Avenue.
The victim was hospitalized with major injuries and died days later, investigators said.
His name and date of birth/death were not immediately released.
