A woman was in stable condition at an area hospital from a gunshot wound suffered Sunday in the Watts community of Los Angeles, authorities said.
The shooting occurred at about 12:30 a.m. in the 1400 block of East 109th Street, said Officer Rosario Cervantes of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Media Relations Section.
The woman was taken by a family member to a hospital, where she was listed in stable condition, Cervantes said.
A motive for the shooting was not immediately known, and no suspect information was released.
