The unidentified man atop the Supreme Scream ride, which he reportedly climbed around 7:20 p.m. Saturday, came down safely around 9 p.m., according to Buena Park police.
He will be transported to a local hospital for a medical evaluation, Orange County Fire Authority Capt. Sean Doran told reporters.
It was unclear how he managed to climb the ride.
La Palma Avenue was temporarily closed between Beach Boulevard and Western Avenue, and police tweeted, urging people to stay away from the area.
