A woman was shot and wounded Wednesday near Exposition Park, and the suspect was at large.
The shooting was reported about 4:40 a.m. in the 1400 block of West 37th Drive, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The woman was taken to a hospital in unknown condition, police said.
Authorities believe the suspect may have fled in a black, mid-2000s Toyota Prius, which may have sustained front-end damage in a collision. No description was available of the suspect.
A motive for the shooting was not known, police said.
