Police Friday arrested a 23-year-old homeless man suspected to stabbing and seriously injuring another man in Placenita

Officers responded at 5:49 p.m. Thursday to a reported stabbing in the 800 block of West Chapman Avenue, near Placentia Avenue and the border with Fullerton, and found a man bleeding from the neck, said Lt. Adam Gloe of the Placentia Police Department.

The victim was taken to a hospital with serious injuries, Gloe said.

The suspect, later identified as Josue Alejandro Romero, fled the scene before police arrived, but was found in Fullerton early Friday morning and arrested.
