Police Monday sought public help in their investigation of a man’s weekend shooting death on an Anaheim street.
The shooting was reported at 9:24 p.m. Sunday at Laxore Street and Orange Avenue, Anaheim police Sgt. Shane Carringer said.
The victim — identified as 43-year-old Tyrone Portis of Buena Park — suffered at least one gunshot wound to the chest, Carringer said. He was taken by paramedics to UCI Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
Police asked anyone with relevant information for investigators to call Orange County Crime Stoppers at 855-TIP-OCCS. The organization will accept anonymous tips.
