A man who was found dead on a jetty was identified Saturday by the Los Angeles County Coroner’s office.
Officers responded at 11:53 p.m. Thursday to a shots fired call in the 700 block of East Shoreline Drive where they found Kevin Porter, 43, suffering from a gunshot wound, said Lt. Shaleana Benson of the Long Beach Police Department.
Porter was pronounced dead at the scene, Benson said.
The shooting is under investigation and no suspect information was available.
