A person was shot to death in Van Nuys Thursday.
The shooting was reported at 2:52 p.m. near a 7-Eleven at Arminta Avenue and Van Nuys Boulevard, said Officer Tony Im of the Los Angeles Police Department Media Relations Division.
The victim, whose name was withheld pending family notification, was pronounced dead at the scene.
A description of the victim was not immediately available.
No motive or suspect description was provided, and LAPD units were actively investigating the scene, Im said.
