Authorities identified a 29-year-old man killed in a South Los Angeles vehicle-to-vehicle shooting Saturday that also critically wounded a 17-year-old girl.
Braves Smith, 29, was a Los Angeles resident, according to coroner’s Lt. David Smith.
The shooting occurred about 12:25 a.m. in the area of 66th Street and Denver Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department’s Operations Center.
The victims were seated in a vehicle when a motorist drove up and fired shots, police said. There was no further suspect information available.
Smith was pronounced dead at the scene and paramedics rushed the girl to a hospital.
