Sheriff’s detectives asked for the public’s help to find a 15-year-old girl with a history of depression who went missing in South El Monte Sunday.
Ziara Maxine Hernandez was last seen by her sister at their home, in the 1800 block of Fruitvale Avenue, around 2 a.m., according to Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputy Eva Jimenez.
Hernandez is Hispanic. She is 5 feet, 4 inches tall and weighs about 85 pounds. She has blond hair and hazel eyes. She was last seen wearing a sweater, gray pants and black high-top Converse tennis shoes. She also has two backpacks — one brown — and a “Hello Kitty” skateboard. She has also said she wanted to go to the beach.
Anyone with information on her whereabouts was asked to call the LASD’s missing persons unit at 323-890-5500 or 911. Tipsters can also call Crime Stoppers at 800-222-8477.
