Six people were injured when two vehicles collided on the Golden State (5) Freeway in Santa Clarita and a person was ejected from a vehicle, authorities said Monday.

The accident was reported at 10:51 p.m. Sunday, when an SUV stalled in the number 3 lane of the northbound freeway north of the Antelope Valley (14) Freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Shortly thereafter, a witness reported that an SUV overturned and someone was ejected.

Three adults and three children were taken to hospitals by paramedics, Los Angeles County Fire Department Dispatch Supervisor Michael Pittman told City News Service.

Their conditions were not known, Pittman said.
