An at-risk 88-year-old man who had last seen in Whittier has been found, authorities announced Thursday.
The California Highway Patrol issued the alert Monday on behalf of the Whittier Police Department for Daniel James Heider, who had last been seen at 10:05 a.m. Monday at 15414 Fernview St.
The CHP announced Thursday that Heider had been found. No further details were released.
The Silver Alert program was established by the CHP to issue and coordinate alerts involving the unexplained or suspicious disappearance of elderly, developmentally disabled or cognitively impaired individuals.
