A 61-year-old man who was shot and killed in the unincorporated Willowbrook area was identified by authorities Tuesday.
The victim was Kelvin Hillman of Los Angeles, the coroner’s office said.
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department deputies and fire department paramedics responded about 2:30 p.m. Friday to the 600 block of East 136th Street, near Avalon Boulevard, on reports of a traffic collision.
They found the man now identified as Hillman suffering from gunshot wounds and lying unresponsive in the street, according to Deputy Alejandra Parra.
Hillman was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The shooting did not appear to be gang-related, Parra said.
No weapon was retrieved, and no suspect description was provided.
