Authorities Monday located a Banning man who went missing in Palm Springs earlier in the day, and reported he was safe.
Timothy Dominguez, 30, was reported as missing at 3 a.m. Monday when he left Desert Regional Medical Center at 1150 N. Indian Canyon Drive. The Palm Springs Police Department said he was heading to RI International, a mental health facility, at 2500 N. Palm Canyon Drive, but never arrived.
At about 1:10 p.m. Monday, authorities reported that Dominguez was found in good health by Banning police. No information was provided as to how police located him.
Police said Dominguez suffers from a mental health disability that gives him the mental capacity of a 12-year-old.
Dominguez does not live in the Coachella Valley and does not know how to get to his home in Banning, police said in the initial advisory to the public.
