The driver of a black sedan suspected of street racing was taken into custody Sunday evening after leading California Highway Patrol officers on a high-speed pursuit from Inglewood to Van Nuys.
The pursuit began at 9:23 p.m. around Van Ness Avenue and Century Boulevard, California Highway Patrol Officer Elizabeth Kravig told City News Service.
The driver drove northbound on the San Diego Freeway (405) at a high rate of speed described by KCAL9 as around 100 mph.
The pursuit ended when the driver pulled over on the Burbank Boulevard on-ramp to the southbound San Diego Freeway after exiting the northbound side of the freeway, KCAL9 reported.
KTLA5 video showed the male driver and two female passengers surrendering to officers.
Kravig said she did not know if the passengers were arrested.
