A 25-year-old man who was killed over the weekend in a shooting at a marijuana dispensary in the San Gabriel Valley community of Valinda was publicly identified Monday.
Marco Antonio Sandoval of Baldwin Park was identified by the coroner’s office as the victim.
Sandoval was killed and a 31-year-old man was in critical condition following the shooting, which was reported at 8:47 p.m. Saturday in the 15800 block of Amar Road, according to Deputy Tracy Koerner of the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.
The man now identified as Sandoval was pronounced dead at the scene, and the other man was taken to a hospital by paramedics, Koerner said.
The motive and other details remain under investigation, he said.
