A person was shot and hospitalized in Hemet Tuesday, and authorities were investigating.
The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department said it received a report of the shooting at 5:58 a.m. in the 26000 block of Columbia Street.
The shooting left the victim in need of transportation to a hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries, according to officials.
Information on a potential suspect was not immediately available.
