One man was killed and a second wounded in what authorities called an apparent gang-related shooting in Lynwood Thursday evening.

The shooting occurred about 6:55 p.m. in an apartment complex in the 3000 block of Euclid Avenue, near César Chávez Park, said Deputy Miguel Meza of the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.

Arriving deputies discovered a 52-year-old man with gunshot wounds in the apartment complex’s courtyard. He was pronounced dead at the scene, Meza said.

In the course of their investigation Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau detectives learned of a 49-year-old man who had been shot and was hospitalized in stable condition.

There is no suspect or suspect vehicle description.
