Orange County sheriff’s investigators Friday asked for help tracking down a suspected hit-and-run driver who killed another driver in Lake Forest.
The crash occurred about 7:50 p.m. Thursday near Lake Forest Drive and Canada Road.
Investigators suspect the hit-and-run driver was in a dark-colored compact car based on the debris left behind, said Orange County Sheriff’s Department Sgt. Todd Hylton.
“At this point we don’t have any witnesses,” so investigators were seeking any video or witnesses to come forward, Hylton said.
Details on the victim were not immediately available.
