The family of a man who was killed in Hacienda Heights earlier this year will join members of the Los Angeles County Sheriff Department’s Homicide Bureau Thursday to ask the public’s help in finding his killer.

The news conference will take place at 1 p.m. at the Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau, 1 Cupania Circle in Monterey Park.

Alfonso Guzmán Jr. was shot to death while he and his girlfriend were parked at a scenic overlook on Turnbull Canyon Road on May 20 at approximately 1 a.m.

Capt. Joe Mendoza, Lt. Charles Calderaro, detectives Julia Levenson and Theodor Baljet and Edith Gonzalez from First District Supervisor Hilda Solis’s office are expected to attend the news conference.
