Three people were injured in what police called a likely gang-related shooting in Westminster Thursday.
Westminster Police Department officers were called about 12:45 p.m. to two hospitals that received the three patients who were all suffering gunshot wounds sustained in a shooting that occurred near the 15100 block of Clemente Avenue, according to Sgt. Eddie Esqueda.
The victims were treated for their wounds and are all expected to survive.
“At this time, we believe this incident is likely gang related,” said WPD Deputy Chief Cameron Knauerhaze. “Our detectives are interviewing the victims and potential witnesses. We have determined this is an isolated incident and there is no further threat to the public.”
No suspect description or details on what led up to the shooting were immediately available.
Anyone with information on the shooting was asked to call the WPD Detective Bureau at 714-898-3315.
