A Jurupa Valley felon was out on bail Friday after being arrested for allegedly possessing a firearm and controlled substances.
Pedro Anaya, 46, was arrested Thursday after a search warrant was served at his home stemming from a traffic stop in which he was allegedly found to be in possession of a 9mm handgun, according to Riverside County Sheriff’s Department Sgt. Jose Ayala.
While searching his residence in the 5600 block of Tilton Avenue, deputies discovered 55 grams of cocaine, 45 grams of methamphetamine and 3.5 grams of heroin, according to Ayala.
Anaya was booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center for suspicion of possessing a controlled substance while armed and being in possession of a firearm while being a convicted felon, but has since made bail.
Anaya’s criminal history, including the nature of his felony or felonies, was not immediately available.
Anaya is scheduled to appear at the Riverside Hall of Justice on Jan. 20, according to jail records.
