Sheriff’s deputies descended on a La Quinta apartment complex Wednesday in an apparent suspect standoff, but details on the investigation were not immediately known.
The situation was unfolding at the Silver Hawk apartments in the 50-600 block of Eisenhower Drive.
A witness told The Desert Sun that deputies arrived at the complex around 2 p.m.
Sheriff’s officials did not immediately release any information on the nature of the investigation. NBC Palm Springs reported that deputies responded to the complex on a call of an assault with a deadly weapon.
