A Silver Alert was issued Sunday to get the public’s help locating an 87-year-old man with dementia last seen in Venice early Sunday.
Billy Bengston was last seen about 6 a.m. around the 100 block of Mildred Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
He was believed driving a white 2018 Toyota Rav4 with California license plate of 8CMJ844. It has a large black decal on the hood.
Bengston suffers from moderate dementia, police said.
He is described as white, 5 feet, 11 inches tall, 170 pounds, with gray hair, blue eyes and was wearing orange pants, a fedora and an unknown shirt.

A Silver Alert is activated by law enforcement when an elderly or developmentally or cognitively impaired person is missing and is determined to be at risk. Silver Alerts are designed to provide immediate information to the public to aid in the swift recovery of at-risk persons meeting the criteria.
