A woman was killed Wednesday when the vehicle she was driving crashed into a light pole in Redondo Beach and caught fire, police said.
The crash occurred about 2:10 a.m. at Palos Verdes Boulevard and Catalina Avenue, said Redondo Beach police Lt. Shawn Freeman.
The fatally injured woman’s name was withheld, pending notification of her relatives.
A woman riding in the vehicle suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene, Freeman said.
