A 29-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a collision with a pickup truck at a Beaumont intersection, authorities said Tuesday.
Alejandro Mejia of Yucaipa was fatally injured about 12:40 p.m. Monday at Four Seasons and Potrero boulevards, according to the Beaumont Police Department.
The agency said Mejia entered the intersection when the collision with the pickup occurred, but no other details were available, including which vehicle operator might have been at fault.
Good Samaritans attempted to render aid to the victim prior to paramedics’ arrival, but Mejia was pronounced dead at the scene less than 10 minutes later, police said.
The pickup driver, who was not injured, was questioned by officers and released.
