A 32-year-old man was charged Tuesday with breaking into an Anaheim home and molesting a 12-year-old girl on New Year’s Day.

Police were called at about 12:15 a.m. on Jan. 1 to a home in the 1200 block of South Beach Boulevard by the girl’s parents, who said a suspect was hiding underneath their daughter’s bed, according to Sgt. Shane Carringer of the Anaheim Police Department.

George Ramos was accused of breaking into the home and molesting the child, Carringer said.

When officers arrived they ordered the suspect to come out and he refused, so a police dog was sent in to help take him into custody, Carringer said.

Ramos was charged with a count of lewd or lascivious acts with a minor younger than 14 and burglary, both felonies, as well as single misdemeanor counts each of child annoyance, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct, and concealed camcorder/camera to secretly videotape another in partial dress, according to court records.
