A documented gang member and convicted felon who was arrested for allegedly possessing an assortment of ammunition was back on the streets Sunday after posting $10,000 bail.

Andrew Ayala, 42, was taken into custody after deputies conducted a probation check on Thursday at his Riverside home in the 3000 block of Hiawatha Place, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.

Deputies found Ayala “to be in possession of various calibers of ammunition and magazines,” sheriff’s officials said.

He was booked into Robert Presley Detention Center on suspicion of being a prohibited person in possession of ammunition and posted bail on Friday.
