County authorities Wednesday identified one of the two victims who died in a fire in Baldwin Park.
Helen Lucero, 55, was identified by the Los Angeles County Coroner’s office.
Sheriff’s detectives were called at 9:56 p.m. Monday to the 14700 block of Clark Street to assist the Baldwin Park Police Department with a structure fire death investigation, said Deputy Tracy Koerner of the Los Angeles County Sheriffs’ Department’s Information Bureau.
The women were pronounced dead at the scene.
Both lived at the residence, Koerner said. The other victim, who is reportedly in her 80s, has not been identified.
Los Angeles County Fire Department arson investigators are assisting with the probe of what caused the fire.
