A stolen car suspect led police on an early morning high-speed chase Friday on a freeway and various sides streets through South Los Angeles before being taken into custody.
A Los Angeles Police Department spokeswoman confirmed police arrested the suspect around 5:30 a.m. near the Harbor (110) Freeway and Manchester Avenue.
The suspect, driving a red Cadillac that at times exceeded speeds of 100 mph, wove in and out of traffic, frequently and narrowly missing vehicles on the northbound Harbor Freeway and in the Vermont Vista and Harvard Park neighborhoods and Exposition Park near the University of Southern California.
The suspect was not identified by police.
