A pedestrian was struck and killed in the Winnetka area Monday evening, police said.
The collision was reported just after 6:20 p.m. in the area of 7400 Winnetka Ave., near John A. Sutter Middle School, according to Los Angeles Fire Department spokesperson Brian Humphrey.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene, he said.
Their name was not released pending notification of their next of kin.
Los Angeles Police Department units were called to the scene to investigate what happened.
