Firefighters put out a blaze Saturday evening that burned through the roof of a single-story Hollywood Hills house, scorched Italian Cypress trees and other vegetation outside and damaged a car.

The fire was reported about 8:15 p.m. at 3494 N. Oak Glen Drive, near Oakley Drive, said the Los Angeles Fire Department’s Brian Humphrey.

KCA:L9 video showed flames poking through the roof of the home and engulfing trees nearby and then drastically reduced as they were tamed by firefighters.

The fire briefly threatened nearby homes, Humphrey said.

About an hour after the fire had ignited, it was knocked down, with no injuries were reported, according to LAFD. The cause was under investigation.
