Sheriff’s homicide detectives were conducting a death investigation Sunday in the unincorporated Florence-Firestone area near Watts, where a man’s body was discovered.
The body was discovered in the 9100 block of Holmes Avenue, near East 92nd Street, according to Deputy Trina Schrader of the Sheriff’s Information Bureau. The death was reported at 4:19 p.m., she said.
The man’s name was withheld pending notification of next of kin.
The cause of death and the man’s age were not released.
