A pedestrian killed in the Green Meadows area of South Los Angeles in a vehicular crash was identified Wednesday.
The Los Angeles County Coroner’s office identified Stephanie Mendoza, 30, as the victim of the collision.
The crash occurred just before 11 p.m. Sunday at 105th Street and Avalon Boulevard, according to Los Angeles Police Department Officer Drake Madison.
Mendoza was pronounced dead at the scene, Madison said.
Officers reported that speed may have been a factor and that a vehicle was impounded but noted no crime was committed because all of the involved people remained at the scene, he said.
