Los Angeles County firefighters were battling a small brushfire in the mountains above Azusa Saturday evening.
The blaze, which had charred between one or two acres by about 9 p.m. was burning near the area of East Sierra Avenue and Azusa Veterans Way, Dispatch Supervisor Robert Diaz told City News Service.
The brush fire was reported at 6:51 p.m., Diaz said.
The department was using two water-dropping helicopters in their battle to control the flames, according to the department.
No buildings were immediately threatened by the fire.
