A man was killed when he was struck by a vehicle while walking in Wilmington, authorities said Sunday.
The crash was reported just after 9:30 p.m. Saturday on Pacific Coast Highway at Fries Avenue, according to a desk officer at the Los Angeles Police Department’s Operations Center.
The 40-45-year-old man driving the vehicle stopped and called for help, the officer said.
The pedestrian, believed to have been 25-years-old, was taken by paramedics to a hospital where he was pronounced dead, he said.
