A Silver Alert was issued on behalf of a 86-year-old man last seen Monday in Acton.
John Stratton was last seen about noon but his last approximate whereabouts were not immediately known, according to the California Highway Patrol, which issued the Silver Alert on behalf of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Stratton is white, 5 feet, 9 inches tall and weighs 162 pounds, with blue eyes and gray hair. He was last seen driving a silver 2010 Toyota Prius with the California license plate 6JQE036.
Anyone who sees Stratton or knows of his whereabouts was asked to call 911.
The Silver Alert program was established by the CHP to issue and coordinate alerts involving the unexplained or suspicious disappearance of elderly, developmentally disabled or cognitively impaired individuals.
