A man was found dead Saturday evening on an off-ramp of the Pomona (60) Freeway in South El Monte.
The body was discovered shortly before 8 p.m. on the Rosemead Boulevard off-ramp from the westbound Pomona Freeway, California Highway Patrol Officer Edgar Figueroa told City News Service.
Deputies from the Temple sheriff’s station also responded to the scene and told the CHP it appeared the man was a pedestrian and the victim of a hit-and-run crash, Figueroa said.
The man’s identity was not immediately released.
