The identity of a man who was shot to death in his car was released Wednesday.
The Los Angeles County Coroner’s office said the shooting victim in the Florence community of unincorporated Los Angeles County was Charlie Hernandez, 30.
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department deputies were dispatched at 12:55 a.m. Sunday near the intersection of East 77th Street and Crockett Boulevard regarding gunshots heard in the area and located the vehicle, which had struck a parked vehicle.
Arriving paramedics pronounced Hernandez dead at the scene. A female passenger was not injured.
According to the coroner’s office, Hernandez died of a fatal gunshot wound to the neck.
