A homeless man who was fatally shot near South Gate was identified Thursday, and the investigation was continuing into his death.
Deputies were sent to the 2100 block of East 88th Street about 8:45 p.m. Wednesday, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department reported.
Eralio Zaragoza, 43, died at scene, according to the Los Angeles County coroner’s office.
