A suspect who barricaded himself inside a downtown location was finally taken into custody after a nine-hour standoff with Los Angeles police.
The location of the barricade was in the 200 block of Main Street, according to LAPD Officer Rosario Cervantes. The standoff began around 6:40 a.m., she said.
The man was apparently wanted for being a felon with a gun, Cervantes added.
Central Division officers finally convinced the man to surrender peacefully around 3:45 p.m., LAPD Sgt. Priscilla DeVaul.
No one was injured, she said.
