Police Friday arrested a man who led them on a chase in the south Los Angeles area in a car that had been reported stolen, authorities said.
The man was taken into custody about 8:20 a.m. near 43rd Street and Avalon Boulevard, the Los Angeles Police Department reported. His name was not immediately available for release.
Authorities began chasing the car in the area shortly after 8 a.m., police said. The car crashed into another vehicle at an intersection, and the man got out and ran off. He was taken into custody a short time later while hiding behind a parked vehicle.
