A smoky, two-alarm commercial garage fire in Hawthorne kept firefighters busy for about an hour Saturday.
The fire was reported at 5:08 p.m. in the 13200 block of Prairie Avenue, said Los Angeles County Fire Department Dispatch Supervisor Melanie Flores.
About 100 firefighters were dispatched to the call, Flores said.
Video on the Citizen app showed flames through the roof and thick black smoke billowing from what appeared to be an auto upholstery business.
Firefighters had the flames out at 6:02 p.m., Flores said. They remained at the scene putting out hot spots.
