Police Saturday were looking for the culprit in a fatal shooting that occurred in a Riverside apartment complex.
Officers responded to a shooting call at about 4:35 p.m. last Sunday in the 2400 block of Iowa Avenue in the University neighborhood, according to the Riverside Police Department.
When authorities arrived, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound, police said. The victim — whose identity was not released — was taken to a hospital where he later died of his injuries.
The shooting is being investigated as a homicide, though police did not provide a possible motive or suspect description.
