Forty-five drivers were cited for operating a vehicle unlicensed or with a suspended or revoked license during a driving under the influence spot check Saturday in Pomona.

Officers at the checkpoint, which was conducted from 9 p.m. Friday until 2 p.m. Saturday at Mission Boulevard and Curran Place, also towed 19 vehicles, according to the Pomona Police Department’s Traffic Services Division.

In 2021, Pomona police investigated 134 DUI collisions that resulted in two deaths and injured 38 people.
