A man was killed Sunday afternoon in Compton and the shooter remains at large.
The shooting happened in the 1400 block of South Temple Avenue, north of east Bennett Street, around 1:40 p.m., according to Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputy Lizette Falcon.
The man died at the scene, Falcon said. His name was withheld pending notification of next of kin.
A motive for the shooting was unknown. No suspect description was available.
